Sweet Dreams

Yesterday we read the story, "Grandmother, What is a Dreamcatcher?" written by Sandra Samatte and Susan Lam.

We learned that the First Nations used a dreamcatcher to "catch" their bad dreams before the dreams went in a person's head while they were sleeping. The dreamcatcher lets the good dreams pass through to the person's head so they can have good dreams!

One again, we had our amazing grade 8 buddies to help us create these amazing dreamcatchers!

We are going to put them on display for a little while and then take them home.

One boy said to me today, 'Mrs. Jackson. I'm glad we made these because I have bad dreams sometimes. This way I won't have bad dreams anymore!"

The kinders can't wait to take them home! Try to pick out your child's dreamcatcher
