Extra homework of making a talking stick

This student did their "extra" homework on the weekend!

Last week we learned about a sharing circle and a talking stick and why we use them!

We use a sharing circle to communicate with our friends and family equally. We all have valued opinions and are respected.

We use the talking stick to make sure we all get a turn to speak in the circle and so we know who's speaking. This way nobody gets skipped and we make sure we show respect to the person holding the talking stick.

These students made their own talking sticks to use at home! They painted them and decorated them! Wow! Great job!!!
