We read the book "The Gruffalo" written by Julia Donaldson. We just loved the book! We loved the rhyming and the repeating sayings! After reading the book, we made our own Gruffalo! We used the following items for our craft:
- rice (for teeth and claws/nails)
- white pipe cleaner (tusks)
- purple pipe cleaner (purple prickles on his back)
- black pipe cleaner (black tongue)
- googley eyes (eyes)
- bead (green wart on his nose)

I put a picture of a Gruffalo on our mimio so our class could refer back to the screen to remember what the Gruffalo looks like.
