Today we learned about the letter I. We learned how to write it, both capital and lower case, and what sound it makes! We sang a song about Inky the mouse. Inky the mouse had ink spilled on her! At the end of the song we go: /i/-/i/-/i/-/i/ (the "i" sound) - Inky's wet! When we make the "i" sound, we pretend to be a mouse by putting our fingers at the end of our nose, like whiskers, and squeak!

This week we had art with our big buddies! They are in grade 8 and are great at helping us with projects! Look at the Thanksgiving turkeys we made this week! They look shiny because I laminated them so the leaves would last longer, rather than drying up and breaking!
Talk with your child about what they are thankful for this Thanksgiving. We made a list as a class. We already posted in a previous post, but see the picture below of the list we brainstormed as a class. We have many things to be thankful for, these are just a few that we thought of!
