Lately, we've really gotten into Daily 5! The kids absolutely LOVE each centre that they go to, and lately we've had extra parent volunteers come in! This means that one centre we can "listen to reading" from a parent volunteer reading to us and other centres we have extra help from our volunteers!
At
this Daily 5 Centre (Word Work), the kids were spelling words and practicing
printing their letters very carefully! We have these very neat letter blocks
that have the outline of the letter and we can trace it with our finger. This help
our gross and fine motor skills for learning how to better print the letter! Our
parent volunteer and I were picking words or letters for them to sound out and
print. The kids love using the magnetic letters and the whiteboards to draw on!
We had so much fun while we were learning how to better print our letters!
Our class just LOVES parent volunteers!!!

This week we are learning Letter "L." We learned a very fun song and took turns standing up at the front singing the song!

Yesterday in Centre Time, the girls had the Puppet Theatre out! Look how much fun they were having!!!
