Palm Sunday

Today in school we learned about Palm Sunday! 

I brought a palm branch to school to show the kids and we passed it around to see what it felt like. 

Palm Sunday is the beginning of Holy Week.

Then, we talked about what Palm Sunday is all about! We watched a video (see below) and talked about it afterwards. 

We discussed that Jesus is a King and felt very special when he entered Jerusalem and all the crowds were cheering for him and laying down their coats or palms for a pathway for Jesus to walk on. 

To know how Jesus felt, we acted out his entrance into Jerusalem and all had a turn pretending to be Jesus to know how he felt! We laid down some of our coats and took turns walking on the coats (one at a time) and cheering for each other, just as the crowds cheered for Jesus!
